The Motivation
We set out to redefine the Tiny House concept, creating a next-generation design focused on flexibility and longevity. Our goal was to inspire a rediscovery of essentialism while addressing pressing issues like the housing crisis—Germany alone requires 1.9 million affordable homes.

The Idea
KOYE's aesthetic is timeless and simple, yet deeply inspirational, evoking peace and simplicity. Large windows blur the line between indoors and outdoors, fostering a strong connection with nature. High-quality materials ensure durability, longevity, and healthy air quality, creating a space that offers multi-sensory harmony.

The KOYE layout optimizes functionality within just 25m², making the small space feel both expansive and cozy. For example, the elevated bedroom creates a sense of separation while providing hidden storage beneath.
During the process, I had the opportunity to design several properties, including a retreat featuring six KOYE houses.

Building our first prototype was an unforgettable experience. From laying the foundation and setting up a protective tent to constructing the frame, adding insulation, the facade, and interior layers—it all came together in just 8 weeks. The process even caught the attention of a TV crew, who documented the concept.
